"Think of seeds in a forgotten packet, they still have the impulse to grow into that certain plant, and they will germinate and develop even years later..."
Clover Southwell

Thinking of joining us? Committee Members, Laura and Yvonne offer some reassuring and exciting reasons to become a member of ABMT:

Becoming a Member

The ABMT has different membership options, tailored to suit different purposes:

Full Membership is for practicing Biodynamic Massage Therapists who are fully insured, have regular and appropriate supervision and undertake a minimum of 18 hours Continual Professional Development each year.  These members can be included on the ABMT's practitioner register.

Associate Membership is for people who have an interest in Biodynamic Massage. Some are trained and not currently practising whilst other are members of affiliated professions and wish to keep up to date with advances in the area.

Student Membership is free for all those in their first year studying Biodynamic Massage training with one of our recognised training schools. It is a useful way of getting to know the Organisation and the benefits of membership. Benefits include:
  • Opportunities to network with other biodynamic massage therapists in our meetings held twice a year, and through our Facebook page.
  •  The opportunity to join our comprehensive and discounted bulk insurance scheme
  • Once qualified you will have the opportunity to be listed on the Association’s practitioner register.
  • A guarantee to the public that you meet certain standards of professionalism and ethical practice. This guarantee is that:
    • Practitioners adhere to the ABMT Code of Ethics
    • Practitioners are fully insured for malpractice and public liability
    • Practitioners are in ongoing clinical supervision
    • Practitioners are committed to their continuing professional development.
Please Contact Us for more information and to apply for membership.

The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

Picture
CNHC is the UK voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners that was set up with government support to protect the public by providing a UK voluntary register of complementary therapists. CNHC's register has been approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. This means CNHC has met the Professional Standard Authority's demanding standards. All CNHC registered practitioners are entitled to use CNHC’s quality mark which demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and high standards. The public and those who commission the services of complementary healthcare practitioners can choose with confidence, by looking for the CNHC quality mark.

CNHC Registration

CNHC has agreed that the Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists may verify applications for CNHC registration. Since 2021 a level 4 massage qualification is required  alongside the Biodynamic Massage Certificate.
We encourage members to register in order to gain the CNHC quality mark. Members wishing to so need to complete the CNHC request to register form that can be found

here or download the one on the right.

To find out more about the CNHC email [email protected], call 020 3668 0406, or visit www.cnhc.org.uk
